What Will Be Covered?
Using the principles of Chinese Medicine, we will look at how to use substances to help improve and restore a woman's health during the childbearing year. The class will introduce foods, herbs, and external applications to help a woman maintain her health and to correct imbalances. We will look closely at these to know how to choose which of these "kitchen medicines" are appropriate for different circumstances. Also we will discuss which food and substances to avoid and how they negatively impact health. We can also answer questions about herbals and demonstrate "mother roasting", if there is interest.
